THE 5S SYSTEM OF ORGANIZING
We have worked with a wide range of companies from large to small, who have used our custom foam inserts to implement a 5S program for their organization. If you are not familiar with what 5S is, 5S is a methodology that results in a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity. The 5S' stand for:
SORT- Eliminate whatever is not needed by separating needed tools, parts, and instructions from unneeded materials.
SET IN ORDER- Organize whatever remains by neatly arranging and identifying parts and tools for ease of use.
SHINE- Clean the work area by conducting a cleanup campaign.
STANDARDIZE- Schedule regular cleaning and maintenance by conducting Sort, Set in Order and Shine daily.
SUSTAIN- Make 5S a way of life by forming the habit of always following the first four S’s.
